I am sure you get that very often, non?” She let her hand fall to her side since she seemed to have frightened him just a bit, “Monsieur, you of all people should know that not everyone is what they seem~ If everyone acted by they looks, we would have a many ugly people, ah.. I am not so sure if this is the best analogy.” Looking at Quasimodo, “They say to never judge a book by it’s cover, oui?~”

Looking at the Hunchback, Élodie was curious. “Élodie, monsieur, Élodie DelaCruix. I do not usually visit paris on account of my banishment but I am not one to easily follow rules~” She smiled, holding out her hand to shake, “I take it you are Quasimodo? The Bell Ringer? I must apologize, your visage is not one to be easily mistaken!” She had heard rumors of course, of the mysterious bell ringer of Notre Dame, and of course in the past she had glanced up to see a silhouette of someone working the beautiful bells.
